I have the Bose V-20 a couple of weeks. I have a PS3 for Blu-ray, a new Samsung LCD and Direct TV HD DVR is connected to the Bose. Do not work the remote with something, until I figured out how to change the infrared. I was looking online for a solution. The biggest problem is that every time I go to the channels of Direct TV HD DVR is the Bose "dead" for a minute or 2, then change back, too. It 'really annoying. The sound is ok but not great. I have the surround soundalmost all the way and I am not super happy. My room is about 20 x 25, but that should not be a problem. So I connected my components via HDMI and I have trouble losing change channels and sound try hooking my direct TV HD DVR, the V20 Bose, with the component and see if it works, sure that the will to change the sound of connection too .

I think there is a problem with Bose HDMI inputs, but I'm not technically adept enough to know howto verify this.
